How can we help?
What does the term Vacant Possession (“VP”) means?
“VP” stands for Vacant Possession, which is the moment when Sime Darby Property . It means the property or unit that you purchased is ready, and you can now take over and start making plan to live in it.
This usually happens once construction is complete and the property is safe and ready to be occupied. The timing of VP depends on what’s stated in your Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
When it’s time, you’ll receive a VP notice either by letter and/or email. Before you can collect your keys, you might need to settle any remaining payments or charges with us. Once that’s done, you’ll get a Clearance Letter (CL), which allows you to proceed with the “Handover of Vacant Possession” (“HOVP”).
