How can we help?
How do I change the ownership of my utility accounts (TNB, Syabas/Air Selangor) from Sime Darby Property to my name
For earlier projects, utilities were first registered under Sime Darby Property and later transferred to the owner during handover. Here’s how the process usually works:
- Register with the provider – Visit or apply online with the utility company to open your new account.
- Pay the deposit/fee – The provider may require a new deposit or registration fee (this is standard procedure).
- Send us your proof – Once your account is active under your name, share a copy of your bill or confirmation letter with our TCS office via email.
- Get your refund – We’ll then process the refund of the initial deposit you paid to Sime Darby Property.
This ensures all utilities are officially under your name moving forward.
For current projects, all utility accounts (such as TNB for electricity and Air Selangor/SAINS for water) are already registered directly under the owner’s name once you’ve collected your keys.
This means you don’t need to go through a transfer process; you’ll only need to ensure your account is activated with the utility providers and keep your records (such as bills or confirmation letters) for reference.
